Deconstruction Video

Made this in response to story of Jazzie student at Harvard who was targeted by her white roommate until she was so uncomfortable she decided to move out. Racism still exists and is ignored by many. I'm glad the media is still shedding light on this issue.

Performance Art

For this project my group decided to bring winter to florida. We thought it would be fun if we built a snowman out of unconventional materials in public to see what kind of reactions we would get. The materials included small plastic cups, permanent markers, and staplers. I was not surprised that we mostly just got stares, especially from young children. Some people did exchange a few words with us, and a couple asked for pictures with the snowman. Here's the little guy: Watch Video Here Our three influences for this piece were : Gilbert & George - The Singing Sculpture  which is an 8 hour singing sculpture performance. They brought an inanimate object to life, which was pretty cool. Stelarc's "Ear on Arm"  sculpture and project. took a  sculpture  and made it  unconventional by placing an ear on an arm. We made a snowman out of unconventional materials.  Swiss artist Victorine Mueller  who covers herself in her sculptures made from balloons or pvc pipes.

Xerox project

(1 1/2, 2 1/2)  For my project I was inspired by the idea of someone being stuck in a glass box. I thought about the thoughts that might run through their mind, and the stages of emotion they might go through. The arms are symbolic of bars holding the person in. At first they might just firmly plant their hands on the widow and peer out. Then they might began to poke the glass in the hopes that someone might hear them. As they become more desperate they might precede to knocking and then full out punching. All the while they are beginning to slowly build up to full-blown insanity.

-Dubstep: Skrillex Songs: kill everybody, ease my mind, try it out, etc. Chose this artist because they have a very electronic sound that is also very catchy in the sense that you can dance to it like most Dubstep music. -Punk: Green Day Songs: 21 Guns, Welcome to Paradise, Still Breathing, etc. Chose this artist because they have the traditional punk band sound of loud instruments and boyish vocals. -Disco: Sister Sledge Songs: Thinking of you, Lost in music, My Guy, etc. Chose this artist because they were very popular in the Disco era of music. -Girl Power: Beyonce Songs: Who run the world, Formation, Sorry, etc. Chose this artist because she makes a lot of songs about woman empowerment -Nineties artist: Nirvana Songs: Come as you are, Silver, Drain you, etc. Chose this artist because they were popular in the 90's.

Grid art

This is my attempted grid art of Marilyn Monroe. Unfortunately it did not turn out how I hoped, but this was also my first ever attempt at grid-art. I definitely would give it another try.

My favoritie Broadway Shows

I have only been to two Broadway shows: Wicked and Legally Blonde. I loved both of them. Broadway marries my three favorite things: music, dancing, and acting. I find it much easier to get into a Broadway show than an Opera show as the music is broken up by talking and dancing. I preferred Legally Blonde to Wicked, but they were both very humorous and enjoyable. Legally Blonde was about a sorority girl, who gets dumped by her boyfriend because he has been accepted by Harvard Law School, and wants to date someone of the same intellectual status as him. Elle Woods, the girlfriend/sorority girl, then sets out on a course to get into Harvard and win her boyfriend back. She ultimately ends up far exceeding him in her academic career and finding a new boyfriend. She doesn't accept her ex back when he attempts to get back with her. Wicked is a spin off of Dorthy and the Land of Oz. It is set to predate the story of Dorthy. It is about the witches before one becomes the wicked which and on

ACSII Art

I really enjoyed looking at the different ideas expressed with ACSII. You can tell that this form of art takes a lot of work and planning to achieve. I love that it pushes the limits of what can be achieved with art online. Some of the drawings are very elaborate such as the ones below:   I can't imagine taking the time to create something like this, but I definitely applaud the work of others in this area.
