For this project my group decided to bring winter to florida. We thought it would be fun if we built a snowman out of unconventional materials in public to see what kind of reactions we would get. The materials included small plastic cups, permanent markers, and staplers. I was not surprised that we mostly just got stares, especially from young children. Some people did exchange a few words with us, and a couple asked for pictures with the snowman. Here's the little guy: Watch Video Here Our three influences for this piece were : Gilbert & George - The Singing Sculpture which is an 8 hour singing sculpture performance. They brought an inanimate object to life, which was pretty cool. Stelarc's "Ear on Arm" sculpture and project. took a sculpture and made it unconventional by placing an ear on an arm.
